Will ‘Fire Country’ Stars Cross Over to ‘Sheriff Country’ After Shortened Season’s Finale?

Fire Country Season 5 will be shorter than usual, with 13 episodes, but with the way that it’s been crossing over with Sheriff Country and will continue to do so, we have to wonder if that means we could see some of the firefighters over with the law enforcement officers after its finale.
Sheriff Country showrunner Matt Lopez confirms that the spinoff’s second season is 20 episodes, and he’s all for that happening.
“I would count my lucky stars if we could persuade one Max Thieriot to come visit us,” he says during CBS’s press day for the two shows. “I would love to [bring Fire characters over after its finale]. What we are all about, whether it’s Fire Country, Sheriff Country, or the show we’re presently calling Edge Med [which is only in development so far], it’s about creating a seamless tapestry and a seamless universe. And the idea that we could be in the meet-up in an episode of Sheriff Country, and Eve [Jules Latimer] could walk in, or Manny [Kevin Alejandro] could walk in, or Bode could walk in, is a big part of the fun. So we’ll definitely be looking for those opportunities for sure.”….
