Another World star Mark Mortimer has died at age 59 following a battle with cancer.
*The actor’s family shared an online obituary, telling fans that Mortimer had “lived many lives in one lifetime” prior to his death on Sept. 23. The tribute confirmed that Mortimer’s death came “after a fearless journey with cancer.” However, further details were not specified.

“He was an Army veteran, a model, an actor, an entrepreneur and a builder. He was a husband, father, son, brother and friend,” Mortimer’s obituary continued. “He was curious and determined, willing to take chances, start something new, change direction and figure things out along the way. But of all the titles Mark held throughout his life, the two that mattered most to him were husband and dad.”

Mortimer was born on April 15, 1967, in Yorkville, Ill. He made his acting debut in 1996, appearing as Nick on Another World. Mortimer appeared on the NBC soap for 81 episodes, which spanned three years. He went on to appear in Sin City and 2005’s The Nowhere Man before stepping back from the spotlight….
