 [Global TV] LaTrice Verrett Fires Back at Haley’s “Bully” Claims

LaTrice Verrett cooked up a storm in the Big Brother house but she proved through all the drama that she could stand the heat and never had to leave the kitchen. At 58-years-old, she won the Wall endurance competition beating players half her age and later she saved herself by winning the Power of Veto.
Not bad for a mother of four and a singer, recording artist with the three-time Grammy Award-winning group, Sounds of Blackness. Before she went off to the jury house, LaTrice spoke to Global TV briefly about her inspirational Big Brother journey.
John Powell: White, Black, Brown, Green or Purple. Lala, you represented all of us Gen Xers. That was so inspirational! Congratulations! Knowing the houseguests were going to be much younger, what was your initial strategy going in? Did it change and did you find that age difference was intimidating?
LaTrice Verrett: You know, my initial thought going in was, I am who I am. I am going to be the motherly woman who has a little sense of style, who will cook for y’all and make sure you eat well. I wanted to come in a comforting kind of way, not in a mean mama kind of way. I really feel like I accomplished that early on.
