Another so-so challenge. Half the chefs once again were subpar, but I blame the challenge and not the chefs. Instead of letting the chefs cook, they keep doing these weird challenges that they are not grasping. Then they are getting pissy at the chefs. Blame the producers who are coming up with these lame challenges.

And the Quickfire, make it "Christmas, puff-ified and Colorado". What is the point of being in the Carolinas if you're going to ask the chefs for Colorado? Again, blame the production staff for not keeping it on point.

PBS has run a couple different series featuring Chef Vivian Howard (A Chef's Life), who returned to her hometown in small town North Carolina to open a farm-to-table restaurant, that featured all sorts of local foods and specialties. You would think the producers would look at that as a guide as to what the challenges should be focused on to grasp the local feel of this season, but they seem to be doing everything but that. I'm hoping they get the season back on track
