The Bear is closing its kitchen doors after season 5.

Cast member Jamie Lee Curtis previously seemed to confirm that The Bear was ending when she shared an image with Abby Elliott on Instagram with a caption that read “FINISHED STRONG! Surrounded by an extraordinary crew and group of writers and producers and scene partners on the show that Chris Storer created, completing the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with. Got to finish it out with my baby Berzatto bear." Season 5 filming began in January and is confirmed to be releasing later in 2026.

Now, Deadline has confirmed that The Bear is ending with season 5. This comes after Jeremy Allen White previously shared that creator Christopher Storer originally planned to conclude the show with four seasons, and after The Bear season 4 ended with White's character, Carmy Berzatto, leaving the restaurant and signing over his stake. While FX often allows the creators of its popular shows to announce when their series are ending, Curtis' Instagram post seems to have preempted the announcement.….
