twisted superhero series The Boys wrapped in August 2025, and showrunner Eric Kripke is teasing that fans may be close to getting a glimpse of the final chapter.

The latest update kicks off the beginning of what’s sure to be a long goodbye to the show, but there are still plenty of exciting milestones to look forward to as we gear up for the final fight between unrestrained Supe Homelander (Antony Starr) and his vigilante counterpart, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). Although Season 5 details for The Boys have been kept fairly under wraps, there is a lot that we already know, including information about upcoming guest stars, a potential premiere date, and much more. When will The Boys Season 5 premiere?

No premiere date has been announced quite yet, but Kripke offered an exciting update on the progress that’s been made toward bringing the show back to viewers in a social media post. “Thanks for watching @genv (if you haven’t watched, what the ---- ---- you waiting for?) We’re hard at work finishing @TheBoysTV Final Season. Here’s some of the VFX team. Editing is done, we’re halfway finished with VFX, Music, Color. COMING (reasonably) SOON. #GenV #TheBoys,” Kripke wrote alongside an image of himself and the team working on the episodes behind the scenes. If Kripke’s words are to be believed, we could very well see The Boys back on our screens in 2026, but only time will tell when that will be……
