‘Abbott Elementary’ Season 6 Teaser Reveals Gregory’s Major Promotion

They’re back! Class is in session once again as Abbott Elementary prepares to open its doors for Season 6 at ABC, and TV Insider has an exclusive first look at the shenanigans ahead.
As viewers will recall, Season 5 ended with a bit of a cliffhanger as the staff headed to PECSA, where they were uncertain about their school’s fate amid budgetary cuts. But it was the new superintendent (played by Geoffrey Owens) who reassured Janine (Quinta Brunson), Gregory (Tyler James Williams), Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph), Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter), Jacob (Chris Perfetti), Ava (Janelle James), and even Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis) that the school would remain open.
So, what’s new for the crew at the center of this beloved network comedy? One key player is getting promoted as Gregory takes on a new role. “I got bumped up to assistant principal,” Gregory reveals in the teaser above, as he shakes the superintendent’s hand…
