Ghosts Season 6 may not officially arrive until the midseason, but answers surrounding Season 5’s cliffhanger ending, which left Pete’s (Richie Moriarty) fate in limbo, have seemingly emerged.

In a post on her Instagram stories, star Sheila Carrasco, who plays Hippie spirit Flower, shared an image that included headshots of the cast with the caption “Back at it, ma doods!” with “Season 6” indicated. The simple enough tease may not raise alarm bells, but it’s the inclusion of Richie Moriarty’s headshot that seems to provide an answer about Pete’s fate, indicating that he likely hasn’t disappeared for good.

As fans of the CBS comedy know, it was revealed that the arrow-skewered ghost had the ability to leave the Woodstone property for a limited time, going as far as overseas, but the longer he’s away, the more he fades and begins to disappear. In a mission to preserve Woodstone’s estate status, instead of it being acquired by a company, Pete accompanied Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and ghost-seeing living Kyle (Ben Feldman) to England, but Pete was merely a head in the backseat of the car as Jay and Kyle approached the gates of Woodstone.….
