Dexter: Resurrection's season 2 return breaks TV's most problematic trend Story by Fawzia Khan • 2d • 6 min read
Dexter went from being one of the biggest prestige shows on TV to being hated by its own fan base in 8 seasons, only to have the greatest comeback of all time in 2025. The announcement of Dexter: Resurrection was received with caution by fans, but it was clear from the first episode that Dexter was well and truly back. After his near-death experience in Iron Lake, he headed to the Big Apple to reconnect with his son, and instead stumbled upon one of the most sinister murder clubs of all time.
Along with mending his relationship with Harrison, Dexter was introduced to billionaire philanthropist Leon Prater, who had an eerie obsession with serial killers. Not only did he collect their weapons, but he also recruited them to meet with and entertain him with their exploits. He set out on a cutthroat journey to take Leon Prater's circle down, get ahead of Angel Batista, and save his son in Dexter: Resurrection Season 1, and it looks like Season 2 will be carrying on this winning streak by breaking one of the most problematic trends on TV.
