A 21-year-old woman has reported to police that she was raped in a frat house bathroom at the University of Chicago, while men outside the bathroom shouted through the door to be let in for their "turn".

The alleged attack happened in the early hours of Sunday at a party at the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity house in Hyde Park, according to The New York Times. While the assault was taking place, men were allegedly standing outside the bathroom shouting "when's my turn" and "let me in".

It comes just weeks after the "Cornell 7" gang rape allegations, which swiftly became an international story and led to Cornell University banning frat parties as the investigation remains ongoing.

This latest shocking assault in Chicago involved a woman who was not a student at the university but was attending the party with her friend Mia Lara, 21, and another friend. The group saw the event advertised on the frat's Instagram.

According to Lara, the group was dancing in the basement when her friend started kissing a man, and the pair then disappeared, the New York Post reported.

Lara went to search for her friend and found a group of men cheering outside a locked bathroom door, the outlet said. They were "saying things like, 'When's it my turn?' and 'I want to go in there'," she told the New York Times.
After forcing herself into the bathroom, she discovered her friend slumped up against the wall, sitting undressed with her underwear pulled down. The outlet said this was just before 2 a.m……
