U.S. Marshals find 79 missing children in Ohio in largest operation of its kind

COLUMBUS, Ohio —
Dozens of missing children have been found in Ohio in what the U.S. Marshals Service is calling the largest operation of its kind in the state.
According to the U.S. Marshals, 79 reported missing children were found Ohio during what they called "Operation Meridian."

Ages of the missing children ranged from 7 to 17 years old.
“The United States Marshals Service, through its fugitive task forces, locates and arrests the most violent fugitives in our communities. Using the same resources and methods we have the ability to seek and recover missing and endangered children. We are proud to be able to assist our law enforcement partners in locating and reuniting missing children with their families," U.S. Marshal Michael Black said.
The operation took place in August, focusing on children who were missing under circumstances like suspected sex trafficking, physical and emotional abuse, neglect, run away children and other forms of endangerment….
