Here’s a NYT article about this from 6 November 1988. We’ve always been at war with the (((educated elites))) who claim to hate fascism but are, themselves, the “real Nazis.” In much the same way that the US right has always been at war with the anti-racists and Black civil rights activists who are “the real racists.” This 2011 profile of Dhillon is pretty insightful. She grew up the daughter of wealthy conservative Sikhs in a rural North Carolina town, where a sign at the city limits advertised the local KKK. Her parents threw fundraisers for far right GOP Sen.
