A security guard told allegedly police that a man, identified as 35-year-old Joshua Robert Spirit, was in the tool section of the store with his 6-year-old daughter when he put merchandise "into his person." The guard claimed Spirit made his 6-year-old act as a lookout while he stole the items, which reportedly totaled $199.
The guard jumped into action after watching Spirit leave the building without paying, immediately identifying himself to the suspect and telling him to return the items, per the report. Spirit allegedly "refused to comply" and jumped into the car with his daughter.
Spirit slowly started backing up his car, "tapping" the security guard as he took a photo of the license plate, the report said. Spirit fled the parking lot, but was reportedly found again outside of his home with his daughter. Spirit allegedly "took of running" after being told to stop, abandoning his daughter….
