Then they go to 80%, then 70%, etc. as the questions get harder. Every contestant is given $1000, and as they get the answer wrong and are eliminated, the money goes to the pot. At a certain point, contestants can use their $1000 to skip one question to move forward, so the money will go to the pot but they are not eliminated that round, but they have to keep answering questions correctly. When they get down to the 1% question, there is usually one a handful of contestants left playing. If they still have their money, they can chose to take the money and bow out, or they can play for the final question, which is the toughest one. If they get the question right, they join the 1% Club and win the pot, which is usually up to over $95K.
