Hugh Hefner had contacted the FBI about Jeffrey Epstein back in 2005.

Well this is quite a twist in the Jeffrey Epstein story.

Hugh Hefner apparently tried to report Jeffrey Epstein to the FBI — in 2005.
According to allegations contained in federal court records, former Playboy Playmate Audra Christiansen says she told Hefner in 2005 that Jeffrey Epstein had raped and trafficked her.
She reportedly asked Hefner to contact the FBI because she believed someone with Hefner’s fame and influence might actually get their attention.

According to the lawsuit, Hefner did exactly that. He contacted the FBI. More than once.
Christiansen alleges that despite those contacts, the FBI didn’t follow up with her until October 2020.

Look at that timeline:
*2005 — Hefner reportedly contacts the FBI about Epstein.
*2008 — Epstein receives his controversial Florida plea deal.
*2019 — Epstein is arrested on federal sex-trafficking charges.
* 2020 — Christiansen says the FBI finally contacts her.

There are plenty of serious allegations and controversies surrounding Hugh Hefner and the world he created at Playboy. None of that should be ignored or rewritten.
But if the allegations in these court records are accurate, there is something remarkable about learning that Hugh Hefner may have been trying to get federal authorities to investigate Jeffrey Epstein years before Epstein’s final arrest.
And the biggest question isn’t whether this somehow makes Hugh Hefner a hero. It doesn’t.
The question is much bigger:
How many people warned authorities about Jeffrey Epstein? How early did those warnings begin? And how many opportunities were missed to stop him?
