Republican Speaker Mike Johnson was criticized online for offering a 10-word response to a question about the deadly crisis in Texas where authorities are frantically searching for survivors after heavy floods, which so far has killed 70 people.
The lawmaker made the comment in an interview with Fox News Sunday, saying of he and his colleagues: "All we know to do at this moment is pray."

"In a moment like this, we feel just as helpless as everyone else does," he said, before later making the comment that caused anger with some.
Users on X were quick to criticize the comment. "Oh, is that all you know how to do, Mike?," one wrote.….
