MINNEAPOLIS — Hundreds have gathered at the scene where a woman was shot and killed by a federal law enforcement agent Wednesday morning in south Minneapolis.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed that a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot a woman who was inside a vehicle at around 9:30 a.m. near 34th and Portland Avenue near Powderhorn Park. The DHS alleged that a woman attempted to ram her car into an ICE agent, before the agent fired multiple rounds into the vehicle. However, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said in a press conference Wednesday that the narrative was false.…
Protesters were seen marching in the area shortly after 2 p.m., demanding that ICE agents leave the city.
