Call this what it is: election interference. Under the new rule, mail will only get postmarked after it’s run through a machine — not necessarily the day it’s dropped in the mailbox.
That could invalidate mail-in ballots postmarked after Election Day, even if voters mailed them on time.
Who’s behind the change? Louis DeJoy — a Trump donor who’s been gutting USPS since 2020.
This is the same guy who slowed mail before the last election.
Trump and MAGA Republicans have long attacked mail-in voting, despite no evidence of widespread fraud.
For billionaires and corporate elites, none of this matters — they’ve got assistants, private couriers, and tax shelters. But for everyday Americans, a one-day delay could mean a missed deadline, a late fee, or a lost vote.
DeJoy calls this “modernization.” But let’s be honest: It’s targeted sabotage of a public service millions rely on.
