The week before the One Chicago crossover, Joe Minoso’s character Joe Cruz was placed on a two-week suspension for conduct unbecoming. The suspension came after Cruz came clean to Chief Pascal about withholding information and lying about his connection to the fire that killed a former gang member. That suspension came ahead of the One Chicago crossover and resulted in Cruz failing to appear in the annual crossover event, as the character was still on suspension when the events of the crossover occurred. ….
