It’s been six years since Chicago Fire first introduced paramedic Violet Mikami back in Season 8, and in that time, she’s become an essential part of the Firehouse 51 crew. “I think that you’re right to notice that it was her last name on that phone,” showrunner Victor Teran tells Soaps.com, “and yeah, we’re definitely trying to tease some mystery about that, and we’re not going to disappoint. We will come back to that phone call.”
Teran describes Violet as “somebody who’s really become so central to our show,” so it’s high time for the series to dig deeper into the medic. The creative team felt like they’d be “remiss” if they didn’t give the audience “more about her and her backstory, and where she comes from and what complications she has in her past,” Teran says. “So I’m really excited for people to see that because we’re going to get into all that.”….
