Congrats are in order for Chicago P.D.’s Atwater, who discovered in this week’s episode that — major spoiler alert if you haven’t watched yet! — he is going to be a father!
The officer wrote and deleted several texts to his hookup, officer Tasha Fox, who moved to Miami two and a half months ago. Before she left the Windy City, Tasha had forced Atwater to really consider what he wants out of his life, but he was still having trouble grasping that. As Atwater stared at his phone, Burgess urged him to send the message to Tasha and to embrace that there’s more to life than work. What he eventually wrote her worked, because Tasha showed up at Atwater’s place for a visit. Atwater confessed that he wants to get know her better, and Tasha made her own big, life-altering admission: She’s pregnant with his baby, and she’s going to keep it whether or not he wants to be a part of their lives!
At Atwater’s silence, Tasha asked, “Are you OK?” Atwater simply happily smiled in response. But his portrayer, LaRoyce Hawkins, is feeling a lot of conflicting emotions about the huge twist……
