The one-night-only event comes four years after the “SNL” stars bought the ferry at auction for $280,100.

Pete Davidson and Colin Jost are turning their Staten Island Ferry into a floating comedy club for one night only.
“[This] makes more sense than anything else we considered and it still doesn’t make much sense,” Davidson said in a statement.
The duo paid $280,100 for the decommissioned John F. Kennedy back in 2022.

Back in 2022, the Saturday Night Live stars turned quite a few heads when they announced they had purchased a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry for a whopping $280,100. Since then, fans have remained pretty confused about the purpose of their unique investment and the two comedians have confessed to feeling some serious buyer’s remorse.
But four years later, Jost and Davidson have finally found an idea befitting their strange investment.
On Thursday, September 17, the pair will turn the John F. Kennedy into the “Snapple Island Ferry,” a free, floating comedy club docked at Pier 17 in Lower Manhattan. Together, the duo will host the one-night-only event, which will feature a 60-minute show with sets by a lineup of rising comedians. ….
