WHAT TO KNOW
*Nick Reiner has been indicted on two counts of first-degree murder for the stabbing deaths of his parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
*The grand jury indictment includes new special circumstances allegations.
Reiner has pleaded not guilty.
*Nick Reiner has been indicted on murder charges for the deaths of his parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
The 32-year-old was arrested for the murders of his parents in December 2025 after their bodies were discovered in their home in Brentwood, California, after a stabbing attack. He’s been held without bail since then. Prosecutors are aiming to expedite the trial process.
Reiner was brought to the Criminal Courts Building in downtown Los Angeles on August 12 to hear new charges. He was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder, and now there are additional special circumstances allegations of lying in wait and use of a deadly weapon. The new charges were listed in a grand jury indictment released on July 20 and unsealed on Wednesday, August 12. Reiner pleaded not guilty to the revised charges.….
