The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on Kelly's condition, citing "privacy, safety, and security reasons."

Lawyers for R. Kelly are alleging that the singer was rushed to the hospital last week after overdosing on drugs provided by prison guards.
Kelly, 58, who is serving a 30-year sentence after being convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking in 2021, was allegedly placed in solitary confinement last Tuesday, per his attorneys.
In a June 17 filing, obtained and reviewed by Entertainment Weekly, the singer's lawyers allege that two days later, he was provided an "overdose quantity" of medication, as opposed to his usual anxiety and sleep dosages.
"In the early morning hours of June 13, 2025, Mr. Kelly awoke. He felt faint," Kelly's attorney, Beau B. Brindley, wrote in the filing, an amendment to last week's emergency motion. "He was dizzy. He started to see black spots in his vision. Mr. Kelly tried to get up, but fell to the ground. He crawled to the door of the cell and lost consciousness."….
