‘Boston Blue’ Premiere Details Reveal Update on Rodgers’ Deadly Cliffhanger

The Boston Blue Season 2 premiere will answer burning questions about the fate of Detective Brian Rodgers (Ryan Broussard), who was attacked and seemingly left for dead in a river in the Season 1 finale cliffhanger. CBS revealed the first plot details from Season 2 on September 1, along with the first two photos from the new season of the Blue Bloods spinoff, which feature Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green.

Boston Blue Season 2 premieres on Friday, October 9, at 10/9c on CBS. The premiere is titled “The Crash,” and the drama includes Danny Reagan (Wahlberg) being offered “a career-defining promotion.”

The photos, above and below, show Danny and Lena (Martin-Green) on the case. Lena is healed from her gunshot wound from the Season 1 finale, indicating that there has been a time jump between seasons.
