Blue Bloods was canceled in 2023 after 14 seasons, but fans of the popular
CBS crime procedural didn't have to wait long to see some of their favorite characters back onscreen.

In October 2025, CBS debuted Boston Blue, a spinoff focusing on Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan, the hot-headed detective son of Tom Selleck’s Frank Reagan. The series follows Danny as he relocates to Boston, where his son, Sean (Mika Amonsen), is now a patrol officer with the Boston Police Department.

At first, Danny isn’t just looking for a change of scenery: He’s there to investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding a building fire that injured Sean. Danny teams up with Det. Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green), who belongs to a law dynasty similar to Danny's back in New York, and soon carves out a niche for himself in Beantown. By season's end, he's looking to climb the ranks of the BPD alongside the Silvers…..
