When Does ‘Boston Blue’ Season 2 Start Filming?

Boston Blue Season 2 is premiering this fall on CBS, so filming has to start soon. Donnie Wahlberg has spent June performing in live concerts with New Kids on the Block in Las Vegas, but there’s about to be a break in that tour before it resumes in October. That sounds like a perfect window to start filming the second season of the Blue Bloods spinoff.
Here’s what we know about Season 2 production.
When does Boston Blue Season 2 start filming?
As of the time publication, production has not begun on Boston Blue Season 2. There are production listings online stating that filming starts in early July. TV Insider has reached out to CBS for comment.
New Kids on the Block currently has a Las Vegas residency, with concert dates set from June 19 to July 4 and then October 2 to October 17. Boston Blue Season 2 will likely start filming after the Fourth of July holiday.
When does Boston Blue Season 2 come out?
CBS hasn’t announced its fall 2026 premiere schedule yet, but NBC announced its 2026 premiere schedule on June 24, so the other network announcements can’t be too far away. Boston Blue will continue in its previous time slot this fall: Fridays at 10/9c, the spot previously held by its predecessor, Blue Bloods……
