I feel like I need to explain myself to ward off any Janelle haters claiming I'm a member of her cult as I also agree there are *some* crazy fans out there. I came into this season not liking Janelle much and loving Britney. (If you look up my post history it backs this up) This is just an opinion of a random fan who goes back and forth with who I like except for I love Dan but without Danielle.
In season 6 the nerd herd locked themselves up in the HoH hating on Janelle all day and night. There wasn't much relief from it.
In season 7 Marci, Danielle and Erika did the same. Nonstop bashing of Janelle.
Here we are Season 14 and Danielle and Britney just cannot stop trashing her. It really is relentless.
I understand that there has to be an element of trash talking about HGs because it's a way to bond people, sway decisions and make one feel better about stabbing them in the back. I totally get it. However there comes a point when enough is enough, take a break from the sh*t talking.
IMHO I believe this is why Janelle is so popular. Janelle has her faults of course. She is high maintenance, materialistic, attention seeker and she really isn't the best BB player but when it comes down to it she isn't *that* bad. But with the constant smack talk against her it makes the fans pull for her. It makes the fans want to stick it to the "other team". I can't sit here and listen to people constantly bitch about someone all day, so I stop watching them completely and just simply watch the other feed which is then usually Janelle. It then makes me like her more because I'm getting to know her.
The same thing happened with Rachel last year. Kalia, Dani, and Porsche were relentless with the Rachel talk. I ended up rooting for Rachel (which was a nightmare for me) just because the other "side" was that much more vile.
Why do people like Janelle? Because she has always been a "victim" (for a lack of a better word) of the mean girls. I can't respect mean girls and it makes the feeds really fun to watch when the mean girls aren't in power!! Too bad Janelle won't be around on Thursday to make the mean girls pout!!
But why do the girls always hate on Janelle? Is it something she puts out there? Are they jealous? I really hate when people accuse jealousy but what else is it about Janelle that makes the other girls crazy?
