 1st for the entirety of the game Dev/Dee could care less if Drew is pissed off. They aren't playing for him. 2nd to increase the chance that at least one in that duo goes to jury, aka break up pairs.

That's basic BB 101. Drew has been useful to the icons throughout the game, but that was his choice. They were/are targets because even a blind man (except Drew) can see they are a real alliance, never nominating each other or throwing the other "openly" under the bus. They don't trust Drew because of the way he played...a weasel, in the middle game, ratting out everyone to the icons. There was no real way they could trust that he was not doing the same to them if he found it convenient.
