 You mean Drew and Melody? IMO, she doesn't want to cut off her closest ally in the game. Romantically it looks like the friendzone. Drew is inexperienced with women. Game wise he thinks he's playing

the middle cleanly but if you listen to the HGs, they are all onto him and don't really like him...at least game wise. He clearly likes Melody but misses all the cues that she is just not into him that way. Viewers feel she is just using him, and in a way yes. Outside she can just say back up, not happening. In the game doing so could cause more problems then she needs so she can't just shoo him away.
