Today was Make More Enemies day, aka veto meeting day. Houseguests discussed potential nominations—since Mallory would definitely be taking herself off the block, although I’m sure Dee would have been dee-lighted if she didn’t. Excuse me.
People have floated a handful of names—Ashley, Haley, Barrett—and it was time to see which one of those would sink to the BB Block bottom. Yash made sure Drew knew that being on the block wasn’t actually that fun. Melody asked Lyric if being a Luau dancer pays well. Was she trying to line up a job in case she was put up and voted out this week?
The meeting arrived, and Dee sent Ashley to the deep of my heavy-handed metaphor. Why? Good question. Maybe Dee felt stuck in her somebody-from-each-HOH-comp-group-has-to-go-up-for-it-to-be-fair logic. And, duh, she wasn’t putting up Barrett. Therefore, Ashley. Maybe she liked feeling stuck. It’s safe. Not sure if we’ll get a good answer on it until later in the week. But it’s her dee-cision. Sorry.
Groups splintered off. People talked about who they wanted to keep and who they could stomach evicting. We got a lot of Yash pleading his case and trying to read the room. He’s Dee’s target, but the house seems torn over it, at least emotionally. But they seemed more torn over a vote between Taylor and Ashley. Haley said she gave Taylor her word to keep her. Melody said the same. Dee likes Taylor. Lala likes Taylor. But can Melody and Lyric really vote out their pool buddy, Ashley? Need I continue the sink or swim metaphor?
We got some good non-game moments today too. Houseguests wished Devens’ daughter a happy birthday. Her reaction video to that is really sweet. Jason made slop Rice Krispie treats. Everyone did a dance circle with matching outfits for some reason… See, it’s not all doom and gloom, Yash.
Oh, and of course, Lyric and Rome made out a lot today. They know they’re not on Love Island, right?
