A new lawsuit filed in Maricopa County Superior Court accused Avondale City Council Member Jeannette Garcia of drunkenly offering a colleague a job at Turning Point USA in exchange for sex and, after he rejected her, taking his 14-year-old daughter without permission. The Nov. 14 suit, brought by an anonymous father and daughter identified only as Father John Doe and Minor Jane Doe, does not involve criminal charges but describes a series of events that the plaintiffs say left the girl “depressed,” fearful and withdrawn.
