What to expect from Summer Game Fest 2026

The annual Summer Game Fest showcase officially goes live next month and sets the stage for some of the year's biggest announcements. Summer Game Fest essentially picked up E3's banner, becoming the premier event for both game reveals and playable demos. Last year's broadcast had a few big surprises up its sleeve, and there are hopes that this year will be able to one-up when it comes to announcements.
Right now, the confirmed Summer Game Fest games are mostly being kept under wraps, at least when it comes to the main event. Several smaller showcases serve as extra add-ons to Summer Game Fest's spotlight, and some of them have been less secretive about their lineups. Summer Game Fest has remained really tight-lipped, though. Despite the secrecy, there are a few things that gamers can expect from the main showcase when it airs on June 5.
