xx * On pace for the 2nd lowest rating in the 30-season history of the show isn't really something to crow about. But it does illustrate just how bad
JAF
01/11/18 11:46 AM
xx * It's not on pace for the 2nd lowest ratings in the 30 year history of the show. It's 2 episodes into the season. It's not on pace for anything yet. NT
TheLastSamurai
01/11/18 11:50 AM
xx * Unless you know what "on pace for" means. But yes, the current pace could improve. NT
JAF
01/11/18 11:51 AM
xx * I know what on pace means, but it can't be determined 2 episodes into a season, especially where competition affecting ALL broadcasts shows in all time slots are not taken into consideration. NT
TheLastSamurai
01/11/18 11:57 AM
xx * So then if the ratings for the first 2 episodes aren't enough to tell us much of anything yet, then why are you touting them so much? Can't have it both ways.
JAF
01/11/18 12:01 PM

xx * Many consumers would rather pay more for the TV product and bypass the advertisements. I do that. Commercial Free. It makes $ for the producer and saves me time. Broadcast is using streaming, too.>
TheLastSamurai
01/11/18 10:02 PM
xx * I understand. But if you’re watching commercial free that is not helping the advertiser or the cost effectiveness of their advertising budget. Thus, the costs associated with television

xx * We're kind of on a side issue now. I may respond more fully later. My point is that from the perspective of CBS, they make money from streaming sources which can replace lost advertising revenues.
TheLastSamurai
01/12/18 11:48 AM
xx * Awww “side issue” ;) I beleive it’s all related.
AskMedia
01/13/18 01:03 AM
