The midseason of Season 4 of the American musical drama TV series “Nashville” went off to a rousing start when it premiered on ABC on March 16 but viewers are already anticipating the array of famous guest stars that will make cameo appearances and perform on the show.
Based on the latest reports, Sir Elton John is to become the biggest music celebrity who will headline the roster of famous guest stars scheduled to appear in the remaining episodes of Season 4 of “Nashville.”
The “Candle in the Wind” singer shall reportedly appear on episode 21 of “Nashville” Season 4 and he will be just one of the four music celebrities who will perform in the show. The list includes Kesha, Kelsea Ballerini, and Thomas Rhett. Episode 21 of “Nashville” will air on ABC on May 18.
Sir Elton John shall reportedly belt out a tune with Gunnar, played by Sam Palladio, one-half of The Exes, and is expected that his singing partner Scarlett, played by Clare Bowen, will likely be very envious. But there is still no word on what song Sir Elton John and Gunnar will sing in episode 21 of “Nashville.
Elton John has had plenty of TV credits to his name but his experiences on scripted projects are pretty limited. His previous TV gigs include a voice on “Bob the Builder” and an appearance in “The Nanny,” reports the International Business Times.
Thomas Rhett will appear on episode 16 of “Nashville” and he will perform his single “Die a Happy Man.”
Sir Elton John is the latest big-name act to appear in the ABC drama’s fictional Music City that already includes the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Steven Tyler, Little Big Town, Florida Georgia Line, and Sara Evans, notes TV Line.
No big stars yet
The show came out from its midseason hiatus with a superb episode 11. The midseason premiere of “Nashville” saw engaged couple Deacon and Rayna tying the knot.
During the fall finale of the TV series, there have been major changes in the dynamics of various relationships including that of Deacon Claybourne and Rayna James, played by Charles Esten and Connie Britton, respectively, as well as that of Avery Barkley, played by Jonathan Jackson, and Juliette, played by Hayden Panattiere.
“Nashville” is about to air its episode 14 on April 6. But viewers should not be expecting any famous guest stars just yet.
In fact, the upcoming episode will see the return of Juliette. She left the show in episode 8 that aired late last year after checking herself into rehab for postpartum depression.
She will be stepping back into the spotlight in the next episode but it would not be easy for Juliette. She will also find it more difficult to win back the trust of her husband Avery.
A second chance
Back in the 10th episode of “Nashville” titled “We’ve Got Nothing But Love to Prove,” it was actually Emily who convinced Avery to allow Juliette visitation rights to Cadence because the child needs to grow without losing out on mother’s love.
After their discussion, Avery agreed to give Juliette visitation rights for their daughter.
However, it seems like the decision of Avery was shortlived because reports are now rife that he will reject Juliette’s apology so Emily will be forced to push harder and bridge the gap between the estranged couple.
