Former MSNBC host and NBC News correspondent Ronan Farrow has signed a 3-year deal with HBO.
After leaving MSNBC in 2015, Farrow had been working as a non-exclusive contributor to NBC News. For much of last year, he’d been working on an investigation into sexual harassment complaints against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. When NBC passed on airing the story in July, Farrow took it to the New Yorker, which published the story in October.
Even as NBC News came under heavy criticism for passing on the story the network was still negotiating with Farrow to keep him on.
