I don't think production changes the actual results of America's Vote. I agree that the results are usually predictable though. Not because

they rig the results, but because the vast majority of voters are TV watchers (not feed-watchers like any people here) and are highly influenced by the edit production gives us for each player.

And when it's the case of a public vote at the start of the season where there's one well-known returning player vs a bunch of newbies the viewers have barely seen, it's a slam dunk that the returnee will get the most votes. Making the ridiculous 3-week safe pass a gimme for Production Paul.

I used to think America's Choice was OK many seasons ago when it didn't change the rules of the game. When it was picking something like what food to give the have-nots, fine. But as soon as they started using it to actually change the rules of the game, I started despising it. I HATE when they screw with the basic rules of the game (HOHs, noms, vetos, comps, etc).

I know they do it to give an advantage to fan favorites, so those fan favs stay in the game longer, so people don't get pissed off and tune out. It's all about ratings.

But I still DESPISE all these special powers they keep handing out like candy that screw with the basic rules of the game.

xx * My sentiments exactly! After last season's 'America's Gift' flop I thought they'd drop it. NT
